At Alloy Wheel Repair we do not cut corners on our alloy wheel repair service. We take the care to refurbish the whole face of the wheel, not just the damaged area or rim, even though the full wheel refurbishment is a complicated procedure. First, the wheels are chemically stripped to remove any previous coatings and are then shot-blasted by hand to obtain a bare metal surface in preparation for coating. After that the wheels are slightly dressed and filled to deal with any curb damage to the rim edges. In order to remove any air from the alloy the wheels are heated and powder coat silver finish is applied and then cured to 180C for 10 minutes. Then clear lacquer coat is applied over the silver in the same manner, in this way protecting the alloy wheel.
The price for full wheel refurbishment includes full alloy wheel refurbishment itself, sealing the whole face of the wheel with an even coat of thick lacquer and year cast iron guarantee against discoloration, corrosion or flaking.
