The history of Tom Morris' company began with servicing the automotive market in the year 1985 by offering a superior Teflon paint product to enhance and protect the painted finishes on different types of vehicles including such vehicles as boats and aircraft. The company developed a complete line of support products for automobile detailing operations and ultimately supplied products to a large number of licensed operators throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South Africa, Australia and Asia.
The products of the Tom Morris' company managed to gain tremendous recognition through alliances with Coca-Cola, Pepsi, DHL Express, United Parcel Service, Avis, Hertz and Budweiser. The company also provides products to such individual customers as Atlanta Hawks Basketball, Evander Holyfield, Don Johnson (Miami Vice and Nash Bridges), Mario Andretti and Rusty Wallace.
In 1999 Tom Morris became aware of a very small but rapidly growing trend of repairing alloy wheels at the customer's location, rather than sending them off to be repaired by the traditional machine shops. This was the time when he realized that if he could find a way to professionally repair the damage at the customer's location, he could beat the big machine shops at their own game. He managed to develop a method to make these repairs utilizing affordable tools and a Mobile Reconditioning Facility.
In 2000 Mr. Morris founded Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists and began offering licenses to operators across the U.S.
